Who are you?

• Online, I usually go by the name Yzerman. I'm an American internet user who loves to hang out with my friends and do whatever makes me happy. What makes me happy, I don't really know all the time? It's really whatever I feel like fixating on that week.

What are your hobbies?

• I like to play games and hang out with my friends, so exciting, I know! Don't get me wrong though, when not being chronically online, I love being outdoors. Whether its the beach, the woods, or just going on a bike ride, its always a nice time. I also fish from time to time, at least once a month since I usually go out to the coast to fish. Surprisingly enough I don't play hockey at all, apart from on the hardwood when my nephew comes over. I barely even ice skate for that matter, however that is something I want to get back into one of these days.

What's with the name?

• When I was still in high school, I wore a Red Wings jersey adorned with the name of Steve Yzerman on the back. Since I live somewhere now that couldn't give less of a care about ice hockey they didn't quite understand at first that it wasn't in fact my name on the back. So for the rest of the year, a group of guys all called me "eee-zer-man." Even if the pronunciation was wrong, something about the name stuck. So when I ended up re branding my online presence a few years back, it only seemed fitting.
• "Stephen Gregory Yzerman is a Canadian former professional hockey player who is currently the executive vice president and general manager of the Detroit Red Wings, where he spent all 22 seasons of his NHL playing career. He is a Detroit sports icon and a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame."

Fun fact!

• The love of ice hockey is something that runs very deep in my family. Both of my older siblings' rooms are clad in Red Wings paraphernalia, hell, My oldest nephew is named after a prominent Red Wings player! That whole side are hockey fanatics, going to every game they can make it to, getting devastated when they lose, and euphoric when they win.
